The string of bad news continues out of General Motors. Today the company announced that the Duramax 4.5L V8 Diesel, planned for the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 will be scrapped indefinitely.

General Motors is officially confirming that the 1.4L four-cylinder engine that will power the Chevy Cruze and extend the range of the anticipated Volt will be built in Flint, Michigan. The company expects to invest $250-million into the facility which will begin manufacturing in December of 2010
