I just bought a used 09 Malibu LTZ and the dealer in MA did not charged me enough for the reg and tax in NY so he came out of pocket for 450 and is telling me that I have to pay. I will pay if that is my only recourse but if the contracts were signed and there are no stipulations that that I would have to pay any additional fees am I responsible and if so why.. I have a call into a couple of lawyers to see the true legal side.. But I was wondering if anyone here maybe had an Idea.. thanks

7% of 22000 is 1540 so it looks like you paid tax on the full amount.. NY is one of the tougher states when buying used out of state. they may not give you credit for the trade. If thats the case then maybe the dealer didn t know..
