I have a 2005 sierra, 5.3 V8.

Recently the check engine light came on and remains on steady. " P0449 - Evap Emission. Control System Vent. VLV/SOL MALF " was the code discription when hooked up to the code reader. Could you advise me as to where this valve is located and what I nbeed to do to replace it or could I repair it? Is the gas cap involved in this code?
