Ive got 285/50/20 and rubbing is the least of my concerns. Think I might move to a 305/50/20 to close up some of the wheel gap. My Tahoe is 2wd, but I dont know if they sit at different heights.

Nice truck 99Silver5.3!!

Atom,

Thanks!! Got a question for ya. When you screwed down your amp, how did you do it without the screws goin through the back of the cab?? Im getting ready to put a sub back there and I need to re-mount my Sirius reciever in kinda the same place you did. 500HP? From a Radix? How much boost are you gonna run??

First, let me say I didnt install my amp so I have no idea. Yeah yeah I could have done it myself, but I didnt want to f**k up anything. You should put your Reciever under the dash....or go XM! xm rocks I love it, came with my truck and I cant get enough of it. I kinda think that Sirus might die since I havent seen a sirus commerical in like 8 months. But I see an XM commerical at least once a week. I dont have 500hp yet. I am shooting for it, from what I was told from magna charger they said with a stock 4.8 v8 with nothing else but the new gen 2 supercharger you are supposed to get over 500 hp.

So yeah I am going to head that direction way later down the road. They are pricy starting at 6k, but I can get them for 4190$ but thats still alot of BLING! ya know what I am saying. So that might take a year or two. unless I can get a freebie...LOL I can only dream.

Thanks for the props, your truck is comming along great!! I mean it man. So let me ask you where do you stand? bumper or roll pan? I want to keep my bumper, but not too sure.

Im gonna keep my bumper. I like having it to stand on to get in ym bed. Ive got so many other things I want to do.. Just not enough money to do it! First thing I need to adress is getting my truck lower. Im gonna try a 1/3 drop cuz I cant go for a 2/4. My tires are too big. I need a new converter to accompany my cam. Just a tad of my low end torque disappeared. But not enough to upset me. As far as Sirius is concerned, the subscriber base is growing. I had XM and didnt much like it. Sirius suited me better. That and I wanted complete integration with my head unit. I had the little remote display with my old XM receiver and didnt like it. I went ahead and got a Kenwood receiver and hooked directly to my Excelon HU. Anything is better than FM!!

If you would consider a centrifugal charger, you should look into Procharger! Nice setup and can blow as much air as the Radix. That and the Procharger kit is $3100-$3500 bucks. I know alot of people like the roots type chargers. But Id go Procharger. I have seen alot of trucks and F-bodies make crazy HP with a Procharger. I just dont have the cash for that, thus the reason I got a cam instead.

Do you have a drop in your plans??

if its a choice between 3500 - 4190 I think I am still going to go with a magna charger radix system as even GM has made them an authorized part vendor dealiy...

As for XM vs. Sirus, I dont hate one or the other. I belive everyone is entitiled to thier personal choice. I heard you on the money problem, It seems like everytime I get some spare cash its a hard choice to make on what to get.

I have already lowered my back end 2" with a shackle. Just to even it out. I am not 100% sure if I should lower anymore but a 2/4 drop would be ok, just comming up with the money right now.

See currently I am paying 650$ ish to get my 20's repaired (yeah I curbed one of them) and chromed! tired of the polished action. Too much work for me. I am looking to get a 2nd job to see if I can somehow get the major stuff I need done before end of summer.

Things I need are like 2/4 drop, new tires for my 20's, 4x6's or 4" componet set with 4x6 adapter plate for my side panels, new sony deck, some adapters, and possibly a 2nd 10" with new box. I am also working on getting this denali center console for my truck. To get rid of that d a m n middle seat. Also I am looking at some new seats possibly. But not 100% sure.

On the down low I am going to be working on replacing some fabric on my door panels. and some dash work. Oh and getting my APC taillights and 3rd brake light TINTED to give them an original look to them.
