Fastest way is to look for the beacon light on/off switch on
the dash in the GMT-800s or the overhead console on the
GMT-900s

Anyone have a picture of this beacon light switch? Snow plow prep is basically the same as the camper towing prep. You get a tranny cooler ect. At least it was that way with the Fords.

So if I wanted to hard wire my roof strobes I would be able to use this as the on/off button? If so, where do the wire leads come out of?

Thanks for posting the picture.

to my knowledge they come out of the 3rd brake light, just unscrew the plastic and they should be there.

Thats how I ran my wiring to my strobes that are magnet mounted on the roof. I also used that same area to add a switch for my 4 corner hidden strobes.

For full info on the VYU plow prep option as well as
where to find the wires, what colors they are, where
the relay is and how to power up the dash button on
the 03 and up model GMT-800s as well as upfitter info.
and pics and info on the GMT-900s check out:
http://www.letstalksnow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9623

FYI: The 2 beacon wires are bundled and blunt cut and are
above the headliner on the front drivers side.
They run along the floor and up the left side rear pillar where they run to the relay (which is near the shoulder belt
anchor bolt) then continue and dead head over the driver.
