If anyone at the Chevy plant is reading this,... I'm 46 years old from a dying breed of loyal GM purchasers(currently own 3). Never thought of going elsewhere until I bought this Trailblazer. 5000k into it. Poorly put together, already rattling, noisy(wind blows through ill fitted doors and more. Guzzles like a much bigger truck. Should have bought a Tahoe. I strongly recommend NOT buying this truck. After 17 GM,s I found the one vehicle that really disappointed me.

Other than mine running like a ferret on meth....I'm not real happy with mine either.

It's fun to drive....But I've had more problems with it than I've had with any other vehicle I've ever owned...And it's the only brand new one I've ever bought.

Same here, my wifes 04 has been in the shop more this year than all my previous vehicles combined. It gets the same mileage as the 70-80's trucks with I-6 motors!!!!
Ranger
Well, my grandmother's 05 TB 4.2L ran pretty good, no real problems other than when she left the door open once in the rain and it killed the speaker. She just traded it for an 08 LT3 with the 5.3L and she says it gets better gas mileage despite being a V8.

I should mention that yesterday a humming noise began at start-up and does it now every time I start it. Same sound as a pump starting up. Anyone ever experience this? Sound wanes and disappears after 30-40 seconds. Not coming from the fuel tank.

Mine has an auto-leveling air suspension on the rear, and a compressor that kicks on every time I start it...That may be what you're hearing.

04 Envoy, 48K miles absolutely no problems. Sluggish till you really step on it, gas mileage isn't great but it does weigh a lot. Goes thru deep snow no problem.

Comfortable, easy to drive, plenty of room. I'm happy.
