So I had some time yesterday to play around with the floor jack.. I used it to raise my truck to where a leveling kit would just to see how I liked it..

Yeah.. It is time to order!

And now, the pics!

Stock height:

Raised 1":

Raised 2":

I'm not sure if I want to go the full 2" or not since I am not going to upgrade my tire size, but I definitely like the look! It's amazing how an inch or two in height can make such a difference in the look and stance of the truck!

Looks good, do it!

I too plan on getting a leveling kit, I think I'm going with the ReadyLift 2.25" kit and I'm leaving the stock tires on. I don't want to go larger and have to deal with reprogramming for now.

2" Looks great! Get the Rough Country kit and throw the full 2" in there. thumb.gif

I'm staying stock because I do A LOT of highway driving and want to get the best fuel economy I can. I put 31,000 miles on my truck in a year, so I need all the help I can get! I went back stock size when I replaced the Goodyears a month ago for this reason. Funny thing is my speedometer is 1 mph behind according to my GPS, and that was with the original tires!

Mileage has something to do with it for me as well. My 07 was 1 mph slow compared to the GPS from the factory. My 08 was closer to the GPS reading, it's slightly off now from the tires wearing.

But after looking at the Rough Country kit, I've changed my vote to that. Easier, cheaper, good times.

Go the full 2". The OEM sized tires will look fine on there.

Ya, the front measures almost exactly 2" lower than the rear, so that was my plan. Like many others, I hate the rake. Looking at the rear and how those tires fit in there (the 245/70R17) I don't think it will look bad at all.

2" will look good!Love mine. However mine was much more difficult than the RC!!

They're actually 265s, but I do agree that they look alright. I think I'm just used to bigger tires since I have always run bigger ones on my old trucks.. Guess you gotta grow up and be practical at some point!

I'm definitely ready to get it leveled though!

My truck got the 245s from the factory, but I don't think it'll look that back.

I know! I was driving to work this morning and I was like "this is the last day I'll be driving around while doing the nosedive thing!"

With the full 2" lift, how level is the truck? I want a slight rake still, I think.. basically I don't want the front higher than the rear. Can anybody shed some light on this?

2" should put you right at level.

I had 2-1/2 Truxxx kit put in and my front was 1/2" higher than the rear, so I had him put a 1" taller block in the rear to get the rear 1/2" taller than the front.

Here's what mine looks like with the RC 2". Keep in mind my truck is 2wd.

Looks good man! I don't think it makes a difference on these 900 serious trucks whether it is 2wd or 4wd, but again, it looks good!

Ahh can't wait until tomorrow!

The RC kit is ON! Here's a cell phone pic:

Better pics to come! AHHH it's awesome!

Looks good, I can't believe I waited so long to level.

I recently purchased a Bilstein leveling kit for my 2008 Z71 1500 CrewCab. Suppose to get up to 2" inch lift on the highest front shock setting. Nice to see what it will actually look like when installed.

Are you going to post pics of the Bilstein? There have been several posts on it but some conflicting information on whether you can get 1.75", 2", or 2.5" lift in the front. I am curious to know how yours turns out
