I've been eyeing a pair of those because i hate how slippery the OEM boards are. Ive almost killed myself a dozen time. Do you know how slippery they would be with snow or water on them? Thanks!
kkmitchell5 replied to Steven James Madden's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Silverado & Sierra Accessories & ModificationsIs it still under warranty? I had the exact same thing! I ended up taking it in twice before they could figure it out. I wrote in another thread here about it and solution. Ill try and find it or dig up the paper work and see what needed to be done.
kkmitchell5 replied to ERICHTHECATT's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Silverado & Sierra Issues, Troubleshooting, & Recalls/Service BulletinsTook the truck into the local dealer. They are just ordering in a new seat cover and going to call me back when it gets in and can install it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

My All Terrain seat has ripped as well. Have an appointment to take it on Tuesday. Its right where every one else has had a problem. It is about the width of a dime. I use the side steps getting in as well as getting out, Im 6'1" 200lbs and have always been careful getting in and out. Like I said i never slide out of the seat. I dont carry a knife or anything in my back pocket. It is just super thin material and not good. My truck only has 23k miles on it. Ill see what they have to say and post back. Also, if any one has had one repaired/replaced, has the new one lasted longer or held up better? At 23k miles I'm worried that if they fix it another rip will pop up at 60-75k and Ill be out of warranty.
Just saw your other post and you definitely have the exact same thing going on as I had with my summit racing dual tips, basically the replicas to the image you posted. Will definitely try and get something posted for you to get you squared away.
No problem, glad to help. Sorry I dont have any pictures of it closed. But they are extremely sturdy and well built. Every review you read about them is that one of the cons is that if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night... It works amazing for us though as we usually leave fridays after work comeback sunday, so the ease and quickness of putting it up and taking it down is amazing. As well as how comfortable is.

Here are some pictures not the best but gives you the idea. Truck is on 2"level, 275/55/20 duratracs, in grill lightbar, led headlight, moriomoto fogs, Thule xsporter rack, tepui Ayer tent. And mounting tepui awning this weekend. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
I will post a few photos in the the next couple days.
Yes, I have. I switch from my bed tent to a roof top tent that sits on a Thule Xsporter adjustable rack in the bed.
Figured it out! Its because that exhaust tip is staggered. When run out of the side the exhaust flow wants to only use the the furthest back exit not both. I had a lot more soot on the rear exit then the front one. So the air/exhaust flow was blowing right past the first exit and of course once it had enough pressure and air would cause it to whistle. They welded in 2 washers in the very back right where the tip splits into a y so that it can divert airflow and whistle is gone! Hopefully this will help some other people since it was such a headache to try and figure out. What i think would also help is if the pipe before the tip was bent more to a 90 degree angle so it can share more airflow.
Dang well hopefully there is a solution for it and hope that isn't the case. One of the best looking tips on these trucks for sure. But I will write back if I get it sorted or just have to get a new tip put on.
Sounds good. which tip did you have? This one by chance? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-691201/overview/ Did you ever pinpoint where it was coming from on the tip? Just asking because I'm taking it back to exhaust shop tonight to have them take a look. They suspected the tip as well...
Haha no it doesn't sound like the turbo whistle xl and I'm not to sure if it does it parked just revving. My setup is 3" pipe from flex piece all the way to tail pipe with 18" magna flow around stock position. But it honestly does sound like a train once its starts going. or like when u blow over the top of a coke bottle just 10000x louder... ill call shop today and see if they might have anything to say. ill try and post video at some point
