I live in a city where house prices have gone from under $400k when we bought in 2001 to over $2mil today. We pulled all of our savings, every cent in 2007 and bought a rental property and avoided the crash in 08'-'09. Once we had income coming back in again in '09 we were reinvesting our money at extremely low prices and have gotten huge rates of return as the markets have bounced back. We were able to do this not because of financial genius but pure dumb luck. I don't know much about money, I pay a company a percentage to handle my investments. So do you think it's better to be smart like you or lucky like me?
Jonny Quest replied to ericxog's topic in Gen V Small Block Engine, Drivetrain, & ExhaustI've never driven the 6.2 but the 5.3 is more than enough for me. This is my first truck and I drove a SUV before. My truck feels faster and gets better mileage than my Toyota did!
I use chevron premium 94 octane in Canada. I've always believed it to be ethanol free. Any one know if it is? Also what other major brands are ethanol free? I use Shell premium from time to time as well.
I'm not a money guru. I have been very lucky though. Of course the returns are not guaranteed but to me 5.5% is much lower than my returns have been. My timing could not have been better but it's definitely better to be lucky than smart.
Sorry back on topic. Would this work, when your basic Onstar expires transfer ownership to your wife's name and have GM give the "new owner" a trial of Onstar? Sorry back on topic. 50K over 84 months with an annual rate of growth of 5.5% would be nearly $73,000. Not sure why you guys think that's so crazy.
Maybe it's different up here in Canada but during the Truck Month event I got 20k off the sticker price, a bunch of extras like protection package etc. and 0% for 84 months. I took the deal and invested the money I had for the truck. In the time I'm making interest free payments I'll make over $20k.
Jonny Quest replied to thearizonacowboy's topic in Gen V Small Block Engine, Drivetrain, & ExhaustHow much oil do these cans typically catch? I installed a Saiku Michi dual can set up at about 6k miles. I'm now at almost 15k miles and it's only collected 1-2 ounces of oil. I removed the throttle body and there was no sign of oil in the manifold or throttle. Im starting to think I wasted my time with this catch can. Is the catch not working or is there just not that much oil to catch?
