  1. If by a regular lift you mean a complete suspension lift, including lowering the front diff and repositioning control arms. Then it would maintain it the middle of travel. Otherwise no key is going to be able to increase suspension travel to maintain the resting position in the middle.
  2. I noticed no negative change in ride quality when I leveled my 03 by cranking the keys. If your front end is tight then there shouldn't be and change in quality. Unless you are ridding on bump stops, then the ride will be worse. All leveling does is change the resting position of the front end, doesn't change the preload or spring rate. Keys just allow you to crank more then factory not maintain ride quality.
  3. Changed the pump and replaced the 2 micron CAT filter and truck starts first time!!! It also has slightly better pickup and seems less sluggish. Not to hard to take the bed off.
  4. The fuel pressure with the key on engine off is 60psi. As soon as the pump stops priming it immediately goes back down to 0 psi. With the engine running it's at like 48psi and when I throttle up it drops to 45 at best. I think the check valve and pump are going. I don't think a injector could loose the much fuel in a second and once primed it starts right away. The oil does not smell like fuel and I replaced the spark plugs about 3,000 miles ago and I was having the problem then too and all the plugs looked really good nice very llight brown.

  6. Just turned 96,000
  7. I checked the pressure a few mouths ago when I first started to look into the problem and it was a little low. If I depress the Schrader valve core on the fuel rail an hour after running No pressure is released. But that tells me there is no pressure, so it either going back to the tank from the fuel pump or leaking from an injector.
  8. Is there a way to test the checkvalve in the pump? The pump is supplying enough fuel to support WOT. If I prime the pump with the key 2 times it will usually start right away.
  9. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator already and didn't solve problem. And there is no pressure at the rail if I depress the Schrader valve nothing comes out. Yes my truck does have a fuel return system.
  10. I have a 2003 silverado 2500hd with the 6.0 (LQ4). It's been having a hard time starting for a few months and I have been able to avoid the problem by cycling the fuel pump with the key a few times. What happens is the engine will crank for a while and either not start on first attempt or will sputter to life slowly. Sometimes a second cranking cycle is required. Current list of mods and replacement parts include cold air intake intake/ flow master exhaust and Blackbear 91 tune. I have replaced the fuel filter with a high flow spin on filter and also replaced the fuel pressure regulator. I don't beleive it's a result of the tune because it had the issue every once and a while before the tune. (The tune is about 3 months old) My next step is either replace the fuel pump or injectors. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  11. Tow Mirror vibration

it's a power mirror and there really isn't any slack in the pivot.
  12. I recently installed some aftermarket Tor mirrors on an 03 and the glass vibrates/shakes when driving on normal roads and on the highway. I was thinking about putting some left over Sound deadening on the back of the glass, as a way to mass load them to slow the shaking. I don't really mind the shaking too much but if I already have something that will help with it, it's worth a shot!? What are your thought about this?
  13. I looked on there web site and it's not listed for my truck I might have to call them tomorrow and ask. Was the plug they had regular or magnetic replacement? If it makes a difference I have a 4L80E transmission. It would be nice if they had one because I can't find one anywhere and some places say 4L80E'S don't have plugs even though mine does along with many other people.
  14. If I can't find the thread size I can try that or I was thinking to try to find a new oem bolt at a auto parts store and measure the threads then return it. And buy a magnetic one.
  15. I have already removed the bolt and it came off very easy with no problems. I am looking for the thread size and pitch to buy a magnetic bolt to replace the original one.
