  2. All I can say is wow... Everything mechanical can and eventually will have issues that need to be either maintained or serviced. I hope after this is resolved you will always listen the the warnings the vehicle gives you and relay them to the mechanic immediately.Loss of oils, smoke and SE lights are big issues that need to be resolved and driving needs to stop immediately.
  3. Wow I took around a 200 mile trip and this is what I averaged. Speeds were around 65 to 75 mixed super slab and rt 66. This is pretty good to me with the 5.3 cc sb. Maybe I have low expectations? Can't imagine 28mpg average.... Sent from my Z987 using Tapatalk
  4. That is the way I usually post videos...(Youtube)
  5. Thanks I fell in love with it at the lot. Was going to find a color that matches my bike.... Oh well they both look good IMO Sent from my Z987 using Tapatalk
  6. Hmm thieves are the worst! They have no care over personal property at all... Sorry to hear about this happening to you! Sent from my Z987 using Tapatalk

  9. Still waiting for my appointment. I will let them work on it as there is also a hump on my dash in front of the passengers seat. Everyone who has rode in my truck has pointed it out so at least I know it is not just me.... Sent from my Z987 using Tapatalk
  10. Took a trip to Pops today along Rt66 had to post a few pictures of my truck there! Sent from my Z987 using Tapatalk
  11. This thread was about those who liked their 5.3.... Most of us who bought a 5.3 did not buy it to be a dedicated tow rig. If that was what I needed I would have bought a duramax. This is my everyday driver and serves the purpose of always having a truck in my personal fleet for doing the jobs a man has to do while maintaining a home and property. If I tow it is my boat, motorcycle or a small load of building supplies. All I am saying is this setup is perfect for an everyday driver truck. The debate of towing with a half ton is really limited by the weight of loads and terrain towing through. If that is what you want a truck for get a truck set up for it.... 12. Love my 5.3 as I don't pull heavy loads ever it's perfect. On the note of towing though.... The HP and torque rating on this setup with a 3.73 ratio would be plenty sufficient to tow with. I pulled my 24 foot cabin cruiser to the lake no problem with 3.42 in the rear. I would like to bring up the point of how far the 5.3 has come in the last few decades. No complaints here! 13. I think you know your own answer... But if not get what makes you happy. All mechanical items will eventually have issues. I had a car I bought for 500 dollars when I was 20 and besides oil changes and tires she gave me 130000 miles of life... I hated that car even though it was dependable.
