  1. I ordered a box from subthump.com for my jl audio 13tw5 and it fit perfect.. I did purchase a grill cover for the sub as well just to make sure nothing accidentally slide under the box. The only thing I would change is the corner of the box is not rounded like the seat corner but that would take some customization beyond having a normal box build. I had them build it for passenger side and carpeted as well. So far it has been great after about a year of usage. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. I used this console safe.. Out of sight, bolts down into the console bolt areas through the bottom and I can quickly put the gun up or out as needed. This is for the Yukon but fits Sierra/Silverado so you can keep your light/ pen holder. http://www.lockerdown.com/i-26-console-safe-2015-2018-chevrolet-suburban-tahoe-gmc-yukon-model-ld2042.html?ref=category:3 Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Exhaust Noise

I tried it with my 6.2L and it wasn't bad but my flapper was making some weird rasping noise... I don't know if bad flapper or since other items like OEM muffler and resonator were removed it was more noticeable... I will say with flapper and resonator removed it felt like I freed up some restriction in the system combined with my AFE Cai and 12909. The truck was much more responsive and gets slightly better mileage now. The internal diameter of the pipe for the flapper is smaller than all other areas and seemed to me to be a bottle neck for the 3 to 3 1/2 inch exhaust pipe system of the 6.2L. 4. I have the exact same intake on a 6.2L and don't recall a noise like you are describing..I don't have the plugs either. I have also switched out the exhaust and will say the Magnaflow 12909 at tones higher than 2k overrides much of the intake... I will take a closer listen to see if I hear your described sounds. 5. My engine had the exact same noise... Dealer heard the sound as well.. Left it with them for a week and they could not get it to repeat... Still no solution but it has not been making the noise recently at all.. I recorded it as well. Hope you find out something as I am nervous about how they will respond later after initial bumper to bumper is out. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. 12909 here... Removed OEM muffler flapper and resonator. Sound in v4 is minimal any sound like light radio in cab and you would never know it was changed... Once rpms get over 2,000 start to hear slight low rumble and at WOT sounds like a 6.2L should sound. It reminds me of my 08 SD sound that came stock. 3.5 inch in and 3.5 inch all the way out to my dual tips. Also added an AFE momentum GT CAI and have improved mpg and sound. Happy with this setup. $100 to install. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. Exhaust Noise

No I don't have a video.. I will see what I can put together but busy job schedule for next few weeks.... Yes I did delete the flapper and resonator at the same time when adding the 12909... I know it is subjective but I was very surprised with how little drone I notice.. When I am cruising 70 mph it is almost as quiet as stock... Can definitely hear it more at Wot. If above 2000 to 2500 rpm I can hear the rumble factor starting to kick in. When it goes into v4 I can hear it very slightly when traveling 30 to 40mph...but if the radio is on at all not loud I don't even notice. If your worried about too much sound you might try removing the flapper and leaving the resonator. My goal was to get my truck sound a little more like my 2008 SD did when it was stock... Nice clean rumble but not annoying and offensive. Before going with the 12909 I did a muffler delete leaving the resonator and flapper only... It was much louder but drone and sound were too much for me and the neighborhood. The flapper would make a weird gurgling sound and when open it was just too loud... Something else to note is that I also have a AFE Momentum GT cold air intake that is additional noise to the formula on my 6.2. I will say after opening up the exhaust by removing the flapper and other items like the AFE the pep and the mpg of the truck has seemed to respond for the better. I like the Magnaflow 12909 for my 6.2...removed the flapper, oem muffler and resonator... It has 3 1/2 in/out so you can remove oem muffler and directly hook up. On the backside will need to add new 3 1/2 inch pipe to final location. I added twin stainless tips to the end and have enjoyed it. Good luck in finding your sound. 9. My 16 Sierra Denali Ultimate has been great overall... No clunking in tranny likes other describe. I did have to have my windshield washer pump changed out under warranty. Not had any issues with vibrations some describe. Currently at 26,000 miles. I have changed out my muffler to a 12909 Magnaflow (removed resonator, stock muffler and flapper) and added an AFE Momentum Gt cold air intake. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Love Android Auto on this system with both Google Maps and Waze running the best constantly updated Navigation systems available. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. My 16 Sierra Denali Ultimate 6.2L is getting an average of 17.2 mpg currently at 26,000 miles (several trips towing 6,000 # trailer in that). My best 400 mile average without wind and no trailer is 23.1 mpg speeds between 70 and 80. Normally be 20 to 22 at 70 due to hills in my area. I am super pleased... My 2008 SD 6.2L averaged 19 Hwy and closer to 15 in mixed traffic. I don't have a tune but have added AFE Momentum Gt cold air intake along with a a Magnaflow 12909 muffler (removed the flapper, resonator and stock muffler). Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. My 16 6.2 8 speed went into limp mode (3rd gear) at 128 miles on the odometer. It was found to be the TCM not communicating properly. They replaced the TCM and went through the relearn process. Truck has driven better than when I first picked it up and now I have 26k miles on it. Good luck on the repair. It seems weird they would claim the battery since I would have thought the alternator would have been supplying most of the voltage by the time you put it into gear. But maybe something strange could be happening with it. Best of luck in a proper diagnosis. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  12. Interested to see if GM has given us any head way in adding to a 16 or earlier? Or if someone else has figured something out. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  13. 6.2 exhaust (sub 600)

12909 on my truck... Removed muffler and resonator... I am happy with the sound overall. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. I also used the LCi2 by audio control... My understanding was that the bose System in the 14+ uses digital output that many standard line output converters will not work on. The bose system in the 07-13 systems would work off the normal LOC. Good luck on the addition. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. My brother had a run in with Great Blue Heron on the highway at about 70 mph... The heron lost but went through the grill so need to replace. Luckily nothing else was hurt on the truck and my brother was not injured. Too bad for the heron unfortunately. The truck is a 2008 Sierra Denali. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
