Valley Viking replied to Go-Bucky's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Silverado & Sierra Accessories & ModificationsDoes anyone have SumoSprings on their truck? It seems like they would give help with heavy loads but not affect unloaded ride. I like the idea of not needing an air compressor or adjustment. https://www.supersprings.com/products/sumosprings/
If Batman drove a truck.....
Valley Viking replied to elliotvv's topic in Off-TopicI have blind spot monitoring in my 2015 Mazda 6 and it has saved me too many times to count. You would think they would offer it in GM trucks....should be standard equipment for all vehicles.
Valley Viking replied to DoritoAssassin's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500GMC has had 20% off over the 4th of July for the past couple years. With dealer discount there were a couple dealers in Portland offering 15k to 16k off MSRP. Brought the price of my 2016 1500 SLT from 53k and change down to 37k and change. That's 30% off MSRP 👍
Valley Viking replied to 2017gmcsierraslt's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500I dig the winter wheel setup, screw summer.
No buyers remorse, it sounds great. Nice to be able to step on the throttle and hear it roar, but i don't want to listen to that on a 2 or 3 hour trip down the freeway. The Touring quiets down pretty good on the freeway but like i said you still know it's there. Just wouldn't want it to be any louder on a long drive. I also have the Airaid MIT, hard to say what that does for the sound (or mileage). ShopChevy had the best price when I got my exhaust, the install was simple, done in the driveway.
I installed the GMPP Borla Touring and it is loud enough when you stand on it. It settles down when you are cruising but you still know you have an exhaust system, if it was any louder when cruising I think it could get annoying.
Valley Viking replied to davidio840's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500I have had good luck with PIAA Silicone. Mark me down as a fanboy for Aquapel, it lasts 3 or 4 times as long as Rain X and doesn't smear when it wears out. With a good coat of Aquapel on your windshield you can get by with just about any wiper blade.
Get the GMPP Borla, order online at shopchevy.com and install yourself for about $950. This system was designed for your truck, no drone and sounds great. Built by a manufacturer that knows exhaust. You won't rattle windows in the house at the end of the block but anyone who tells you it is the same volume as stock has never ridden in a truck with this exhaust (and maybe a MIT to go with it). Just do it........quit thinking about it.
That's a clean looking ride! What kind of rubbers are you wearing?
Valley Viking replied to Mark Bodenhamer's topic in 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500I had been watching prices for a few months this spring and had came to the conclusion that 20% off the manufacture's MSRP was a good deal, 25% off was a home run. When GMC had the 20% off promotion over the 4th of July two dealers in Portland were offering trucks for $15,000 and $16,000 off MSRP. I picked up a 2016 GMC 1500 SLT that stickered at $53,700 for the sale price of $37,700. That's roughly 30% off ........ I was happy, happy, happy!
