I was reading your write up on the bluing of all your interior lights. Great info but I am interested in this and was wondering if you have the pictures to go with the write up still. Thanks!
  2. For what it's worth, I've been a member on this forum for a year and have less posts on this forum than the OP does in this thread.
  3. WA409Y and G1K are both acceptable in the paint world and will get you the proper color. They are also both found on the sticker in the glove box. The WA number can be marked in several variances such as 409Y, u409Y, L409Y (U-meaning upper body color, L-lower body color)
  4. I work at a PPG automotive paint store and we deal with this all the time. Color names are so subjective and misleading thus why we put emphasis on getting the proper paint code, not name. WA409Y is your paint code and it's located in the glove box. Just as you discovered though, it's all the same color, Sacre Blue. Yet when it's on a Sierra it becomes Stone Blue, a Silverado it becomes Deep Ocean Blue, etc. At the end of the day they are all OEM code WA409Y.
  5. It's considered an insert but it's basically a replacement as you have to cut out the center of the old grille and reuse the shell. It is also available as an entire assembly but I chose to remove the center portion as opposed to color matching a new shell. The emblem is attached with self tapping screws to the protruding plastic nubs that stick out. (The original grille has push tabs that go into these nubs that are not utilized by the new grille.)

Installed a new grille and mounted the GMC emblem behind it. Also added the Husky rear fender liners a few weeks ago. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  7. Installed a new grille. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  8. I have not had any issues to date. It should be noted that I do not put a ton of miles on my truck however. I probably have less than 4k miles on the level/lift. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  9. Yes. Not sure what a shop would charge. I swapped my block out with a taller one myself and its really simple if you have tools and any mechanical inclination. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  10. Remote start was the one thing I really would have liked but wasn't a deal breaker. My dealer will install the GM kit for $450 parts and labor included, definitely something I plan to add in the future.
  11. Definitely one of the things I preferred about the Sierra is the Elevation does come with fog lights. I am surprised you don't have a back up camera though, my Elevation has it as well as all the others I looked at.
