  1. I'm about to install the Chevy Performance Brembo Brake Upgrade on our Silverado. Has anyone else installed this kit? Anyone thinking about it? At first glance, it seems pretty straightforward. After reading the manual, however, I'm realizing I need to take the front wheel bearings off to access the dust shield. Other than that, it seems to be a easy rotor/caliper replacement. Big thanks to @RyanbabZ71 for recommending a great brake bleeding tool! The front set is a true six-piston caliper. The rear calipers are stock calipers painted red to match the fronts. The size increase on the front rotors is significant. I'm gathering the tools I'll need right now. Hopefully I can tear into it next week. I expect the entire process to take me at least a whole day and maybe two days depending on how it goes. Why so long? I'll be photographing and taking video of the entire process. Can't wait to share that with you all. Check back in this thread for progress updates.
  2. Did a search for this on the forum but saw only mentions of them.... Looking for some insight on the BBKs for my '16 Silverado... Wanting to here from current members/owners of BBKS what Pros, Cons, Comparisons, and experiences they've encountered with installing a BBK... Looking at some of the major brands like Brembo, Wilwood, Baer, StopTech, PowerStop, Rolloface, AP Racing, etc... Do you have just the front or rear installed? Drilled, Dimpled, Slotted, Combo rotors?
  3. Does anyone have the Brembo 6-piston brake calipers installed before or after the fact? My previous vehicle had factory Brembo brakes and it was awesome. It had great bite with no fuss. Anytime i get in a vehicle without Brembo brakes, I notice the difference. The default brakes on this truck sometimes feel inadequate to me. If the Brembo package wasn't so expensive, i would probably go for it.
  4. If purchased with a 7-speed manual, the car will be slightly slower, making the dash to 60 in 3.2-seconds. Quarter mile times are quick; just 10.95 seconds for the automatic and 11.2 seconds with the manual. Braking performance is also exceptional. 60-MPH to zero only takes 99.6-feet. Lateral acceleration tops out at 1.2G. These figures were achieved with the optional Z07 performance package, Brembo carbon ceramic brake rotors, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The 2015 Corvette Z06 starts at a bargain $78,995 and goes on sale in early 2015. “The Corvette has long been known as America’s sports car,” said Mark Reuss, General Motors’ executive vice president, Global Product Development. “With the capability of the new Z06 rivaling the best performance cars in the world, we will also be America’s Supercar.”
