Hello team, new to the forum and new to the GM truck world. Issue: truck seems to be misfiring under heavy load. The engine light will begin to flash and traction light comes on. After a minute or so, traction light will go off but engine light will remain. Codes cleared and drives fine until another misfire. No issues while truck starts. I’ve replaced the coils, wires and spark plugs. Cleaned up 4 grounds (ECM, and the 3 under the truck on the driver side). I’ve attached the codes present. P300 and rest all U codes. I’m at loss. If there is anyone experienced this please help! Next step is the stealership. link to video.

Starter cuts out intermittently when cranking once the weather drops past -10c ish and makes a loud buzzing sound. exact sound in video i found. truck will still start up first try but usually cuts out mid crank/end of crank/sometimes doesn't crank at all making that sound the second i turn the key. just wondering why it only happens in cold weather and gets worse and more frequent the more the temps drop, happened last winter too so i bought a new starter just never installed it cause once it warmed up the truck cranks no problem haven't had any issues all summer starting it multiple times a day driving around and to different jobsites. truck has a brand new battery, battery blanket and block heater still happens when plugged in. just curious if anyone has experienced this, could it be something im overlooking like a relay or bad ground to the starter. also just looking to get out of replacing the starter in the snow haha. -35c in a few days would like to play around with it while its still -15c. (2005 gmc sierra 1500) thanks a bunch guys

My truck, 02 silverado has been dying for a couple months now and I can’t figure out why. at first i thought it was the sound system in it so i took it all out, subs, radio and amps but still dies. I then believed it was my headlights because they tend to stay on after the truck is off (I have to hit the dome override button 3 times for them to turn off) so i disconnected those too and nothing. I have an xs d3400 battery that isn’t even a year old, could that be my problem? or maybe my alternator which is a mechman 250 amp?

Hi I am new here so I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct spot, but I'm having big electrical problems with my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. it started about 1.5 weeks ago, I turned my truck on one cold morning(-15C) and my speakers were making crackling noises with no music coming out at all, no door chimes or signals either. I noticed my volts were around 15.5-16, but it never went over 16. the music would come back on when I turned the engine off and just had it on ACC mode. I called my mechanic and he told me it was probably my alternator, so I paid to Get that replaced, he returned it and nothing changed. still having the exact same problems. I called him again and he took it back in and looked at it some more. The speakers now crackle for the first 5ish minutes of the vehicle turning on, and then eventually smooth out as the volts settle down to around 14.3V. I put in all new speakers around the truck about 6 months ago, with an Amp and subwoofer, but I am just now experiencing problems with it. I tried taking the power cable off of the amp, and its still doing it to the door speakers and tweeters. I am now out $1100 and still having this issue, if ANYONE could give me some advice or something I could try that would be awesome, Thanks!

I have a 2003 yukon sle 2wd. The radio, windows, gauges on right side of the dash all stop working. The abs, tc and air bag lights come on. Now if you press the brake the radio and windows work. The gauges sometime come back on. The vehicle runs good now stalling issues or anything. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could cause this.

So i had to change my starter about a year ago and over the last few months every other start there would be a grind noise almost. The noise was as if the starter was loose but it wasnt. I was able to continue to start it until finally it the starter wouldn’t engage. Nothing to it all. So my boss helped me decide that I just needed a new starter Even though i just replaced it not even a year ago. As i was changing starter somehow I managed to rip the wiring out lf the harness for the crankshaft position sensor so it wouldn’t crank at all without that working properly so i ended up getting the harness off our black truck at the farm and that part should be good now but now i am not showing up any indicator on my gears but shifter is working i was under the truck while i had someone shift and its moving the cable and the selector and Without it showing a gear or to be in Park it wont Crank what can I do

Remote start only works when I disconnect and reconnect the battery. It will work for about 5 starts and it stops working. No check engine light. No warning lights, hood is closed, doors are closed and all the fuses are good. 2014 silverado 5.3L

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4wd with the 4L60-e 4 speed transmission. Currently I have no speedometer and despite the transmission shifting very well, it skips second gear consistently (no intermittent functioning). This is the ONLY gear that it has issues with (reverse and the rest of the gears are good). Here is the story... I bought this truck being told the transmission was shot. Initially it would not shift past 1st and also had a functioning reverse. I had the tranny swapped with an equivalent from a suburban. It improved slightly but still there is no speedometer or second gear. NO ENGINE CODES have come up throughout this entire time including prior to tranny being swapped (this includes no ABS lights). Here are the different problems I have found on the internet that I have tried to rule out: VSS- A mechanic with a good computer states that all 3 Vehicle Speed Sensors read correct speeds in real time on the road Ignition switch- Already changed Fuses/relays- All appear to be intact and functioning Dash cluster- broken connections fixed restoring all function besides speedometer Transmission treatment- Lucas treatment put in in case this could be a sticky solenoid to no avail Grounds- All appear to be in excellent condition and no frayed wires visible Low Voltage- New battery in place Help me out! What I can see as being my next options are either changing out the ECU or the wiring harness, neither of which I am desiring to do. Any recommendations from your experience that I may have missed in my internet reading?

Hello all, New to the forum. I have an issue with my truck. 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. Just put on tow mirrors. Stock mirrors had full options (integrated blinker, heated, power adjust, power fold in, and puddle lights) My tow mirrors have integrated blinkers, heated, power adjust, manual fold in, amber marker light on back and reverse LED. My issue is, my reverse LED's do not work. I have a cargo light button which turns on the cargo light in back but not the reverse assist lights in the mirror. Is there any way to make them work? A trick or anything? Thanks!

2007 tahoe key fob not working when coming back to the SUV
Chase Workman posted a question in Ask the GM Technician
The battery on my Tahoe is good, batteries in my key fobs are good. When leaving the car and locking the vehicle. I come back and it won’t unlock from the key fob. Once I put the key in the door and turn it, than the key fob works again. Anyone got any information about this problem?-

I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. I recently upgraded the headlights (with Halos), parking lamps, and tails to aftermarket versions and converted the bulbs to LED. I added the Novita LM487 Flasher to get rid of the hyperflash. Everything worked great. I then had a new Kenwood Headunit installed (Excelon DNX996) and replaced the engine with a new 6.0. I say all of this because somewhere between the head unit and engine, unless I have my parking, fogs, or headlights on, All of the accessory lights (outside only) blink unless I have the fog, parking, or headlights on. I have replaced the headlight and foglight switch, installed a new LM487, and checked the wiring to the lights. Same issue persists. Wondering what it could be? I was thinking there may be a loose ground somewhere from the stereo install causing the blinkers to work correctly only when the lights have power? OR I am thinking it could be a bad Multi-Purpose relay in the fuse box. Any ideas on what it could be or what else could be going on? Thank you.
