K&N Filter & FIPK

If you're looking for better preformance, or just an air filter w/ a million mile warranty go for a K&N.  The fiter costs around 40-50 dollars and for the install you simply remove the old one and put the new one in.  It's good for a few hp gains, but it's real selling point is that you just have to pull it out every 50,000 miles and wash it.  In the long run you'll save money.

After a while I decided that it just wasn't enough power for me so I pulled it out and got a K&N FIPK II which replaces all of your air intake components right up to the throttle body.  This gives you a great sound when you hit the gas and more notieceable hp gains.  If you run this system and drag your truck remove the front headlight to allow even more air to flow to the engine, neat trick that actually works.  It's a great mod and I highly recommend it.  The install took me about 45 minutes.
