Cc Bucking Slowing Down 50-40 Mph

Recommended Posts

I posted a good while back about a bucking issue when slowing down. Around 50 to 40 mph…slowing at a fair rate, some braking and the truck will buck like a real rough down shift. But a shift to manual and it will still be in 6th gear? Dealer says no tsb on it and thinks it is the programming and not a drive shaft issue. Says others have complained. Trouble is it does not always do such, just time to time, mainly when higher outside temps. Has done it since new…

Anyone have such an issue or heard of a tsb? CC, 5.3 4x4. Thanks

My truck is doing the same thing occasionally. I have also noticed that it will do it sometimes when I stop accelerating and just "coast" in the 40-50 mph range, usually when on a slight down grade. Its almost like the trans starts to shift but then decides it wasnt a good idea?!?

Havent made it to the dealer to ask about it. Would love to know what you find...

There is a TSB on a condition similar to this, so here it is

#09-07-30-004B

6-speed shifting issue, dealers are to replace 3 clutch fluid seal rings, inside the trans

Warranty time is 4.8 hours to do. Trans has to come out.

We did a handfull at the dealership where I work, not bad to do

1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R seal rings get replaced.

Anyone know what year and model vehicles this TSB pertains to? In other words when was this issue addressed during production?

Mine does this as well, again at random, different days, different temps, random.

Also shudders/shivers under acceleration/cruising at random, another thing I didn't experience with a year and 15k miles on the same 6L80E trans in my G8 GT, but alas. Tuned and back to stock, same thing.

Thanks for the efforts -

My truck has developed a bit of a clunk in the front end on moderate size potholes (love New England) so I will be headed to the dealer next week to let them figure it out (sounds like a bushing). I will see what they say about the trans issue too.
