Anyhow, this morning I installed the dB exhaust system. Installation was pretty straight forward and everything fit great. Sound is incredible- it starts up with a pretty aggressive bark but settles down to a nice mild sound. Driving around town in some conditions (light throttle/cruising) I actually think the dB system is quieter than the OE exhaust, which had a nice mild burble in those conditions. But when you romp on it, the system just opens up and sounds incredible. You get a nice sound in the cab but it's never overbearing. Highway speeds offer a consistent, but again non-intrusive rumble in V8 mode. I do actually notice some resonance/drone in V4 mode but it is *very, very* mild. It is a gentle, low-frequency hum similar to running on aggressive tires. Having the radio on even at lower volume (ie how you'd have it so you could still speak with passengers easily) covers it up nicely. I can't speak for any MPG improvements because I've been driving the truck a bit hard enjoying the exhaust. My average, aver filling up 40 miles or so ago is around 12 or 13 right now.

You have anything else done like headers? This is the sound I have been looking for in my truck!
No headers (shorties are a waste of money on an LSx engine) or anything else. Only other mods are Line-X and towing mirrors.
