Hi Friends,

I just bought a used 2006 LT Suburban that came with the Bose Sound system and factory Navigation. The truck did not come with the Nav. disc. I looked on Ebay and saw some discs available. I have a couple questions before I purchase the wrong disc.

When reading a description it sounded like the disc or service expires. What?? that doesn't make sense. Will it expire?

I saw a few discs with my truck year and older and year 2007 and newer. Will the newer year discs work in my 2006 truck? Will I need my vin number to activate or are there fees to activate?

Is it better to purchase a newer after market unit to replace the factory unit?

Thanks for any suggestions and information.

Have your vin# ready and call 1-800-nav-disc and they should be able to tell you what the latest disc for your truck is.

They should also be able to quote you a price... Now take that info and check ebay and craigslist for that part number.

You should have to do nothing to the unit except insert the disc... There are no fees and it only expires when it gets so old

you drive around in space...

Let me know if gm part number #20940248 will work with your system.
