hello all, i have a 1986 high sierra c-1500 w/ a 305 small block in it, my question is, when i drive the truck and the oil gets hot, and i pop the hood, right on top of the manifold next to one of the bolts there is always a puddle of oil, should i be concerned or are the bolts a little loose?

I wouldn't worry, BUT, make damn sure you arn't getting any antifreeze into your oil.

If you can't do it yourself, and intake gasket replacement can't be horribly expensive, and that truck looks to be in good shape so I'm sure its worth it.

If you still have this problem, don't take it to a shop just yet! 15mins and a $5 bottle of thread sealant might save you a very expensive repair bill. I had the same problem, drivers side intake manifold in the little valley between the intake runners. Simple fix pull the bolt in the area of the oil puddle, put a little thread sealant on it, and put it back in. Should fix your problem. I've attached a picture of where mine was leaking.
