Seat Covers?

Recommended Posts

I just bought my Silverado and it's got cloth seats. I use the truck for work and many times I'm dirty or greasy and want a leather or "leatherette" seat cover to protect the cloth seats...but I want something that looks good, something that fits and looks like the factory seats.

Any recommendations?

From everything I have heard katzkins are the best and look great.

I'm sure they are. But at $2,000 for a set, that's a bit more than I want to spend on something designed to keep dirt and grease off the cloth. Those aren't seat covers. That's new upholstery.

But thanks for the tip. I might want to look into them for my Corvette.

Gotcha, i didn't really get that you just wanted a cover.

Yeah, I really do just want something to protect the new seats, but I want it to fit well and look good. After all, I don't want to spend a bunch of money just so the next guy can have nice seats!

wet okle seat covers look nice, and are also waterproof ! This will be my next purchase for my new truck !

Well I thought about them, but I think neoprene would start looking pretty nasty when it gets dirty and greasy. Need something easy to clean. That's why I'm leaning toward "leatherette".

Jackalope,

try this place. I have had them on for 3 years and they are still wearing like new. waterproof rip proof...I will buy these again when I need covers. They are custom fit and a little hard to get on because of it but well worth the effort

Check out proseatcovers.com

They're here where i live in Vancouver, BC. I have the ballistic cordura set in my 2011 crew, and they fit really well. I needed something for wet / muddy situations, so I went with the cordura over the cloth. Since cordura doesn't stretch (AT ALL) they were tough to get on, but after a few months and a re adjustment, they fit bang on. I'm sure the cloth ones would be easier to get on. Make sure you select side impact air bags if you have them. They make allowance for the airbags to blow through.

I'm super happy with mine. 500$ or so. I forgot to include the headrests in my order, no biggie, but make sure you have everything entered correctly before you order.

I can get some photos of mine installed if you want.

now that i'm looking at the website, I want a snow camo set for winter.... damn!

ps. Free shipping in north america! and 500$ was for both rows, consoles, arm rests etc... the whole shooting match minus head rests.

Thanks dbot, Stormrider, Birdman and Astatesipi. These are some really good choices and I love the idea that they're really tight. I hate loose seat covers.

Don't know that I'll go with them. They're all cloth material. I'd really like leather or leatherette, but for the money I may have to go with these. Much appreciate the recommendations.

I bought a set of inexpensive truck cover from Auto Zone for my truck. They were only about $ 45 for a set of two but they look and fit surprisingly well and are still in good shape after five years. My truck has seat belts built into the front seats and these covers came with a zipper that allowed installation without unbolting the seat belt. if you damage covers this inecpensive, you just buy another set.
