Correct 6.0L oil filter

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I need to know what ACDelco oil filter is correct for a '02 Yukon XL 2500. The parts store tells me PF46, WalMart's catalog says PF61E. I've read elsewhere that the PF61E has different threads than the engine and can cross thread easily. I'd like to use a longer filter, for the added capacity and getting the crankcase capacity back to the original 6 quarts. If the PF46 is it, then I'll use it. Anyone use the Mobil 1 filters or Bosch? I'm not going to use a Fram and want to stay with Delco. Thanks

Thanks, I picked up a PF46. The owners manual calls for a PF59 but these are no longer available. Just wanted to confirm the PF46 was the correct filter since it was so short.

I do, however since the correct filter is the PF46 I also said I'd use it since the PF59 is no longer available. I'd rather use the correct filter thats shorter than a longer one that isn't correct for the engine.
