2013 Order Information & RPO Codes Now Available

Recommended Posts

If anyone might be interested in ordering a 2013 Silverado the ordering information and RPO codes are now available. It doesn't look like much has changed but finally a deeper red color is available called Deep Ruby Metallic. Also a new blue. Click on "order info" and then "color and trim" and then click on the color to see a rendering. Also click "new for 2013" for a few other changes and some color deletions. http://eogld.ecomm.g...ID=12789&type=0#

I don't understand why they would drop the sunroof from the extended cab models?

maybe it was not selling that well and GM renewing the supplier did not make much sense if it cost to much money only for a year .

Making about 90 percent of a truck is all about what suppliers you have contracts with. Companies like GM,FORD and dodge don't actual make that many parts at all on trucks. Its mainly a business deal and scaling cost vs quality on suppliers and right now GM needs better quality for there interior because they went cheap on there suppliers compared to the competition or they locked in a agreement with Supplier X for to long and are way out of date to style.

When can you place an order for a 2013?

I ordered mine in, mm, april or May, and it was at the dealer by mid July. Of course, I ordered it without knowing full pricing details or of any changes as my dealer told me not one thing had changed! arrgh. Oh well, I suppose I still would have ordered black but I would really like to have known about new blues . .. . (which I can't really see on that link, btw.)

I have a sunroof in my 06 extended cab...pure junk. Even just touching it puts it out of square and it does not want to close. The bands look like they were cracked from the factory! They were split when I bought it with 8,000 miles. Never had them break yet though and its been years. Maybe the sunroof opening on the outside is a bad idea; more headaches than not. I am still glad I have it but its out of wack once a year. I just nudge till it closes on its own! It moves very easily.
