What did you do with your truck/shop today

Love how GM decided to change the fuse on that to some strange thing. I had a pile of Maxi fuses, so I soldered 2 leads to it, and plugged it in. Been that way for 7 years, lol.

Strange thing? The proper fuse cost me all of maybe $3 at the nearest parts store. I'll agree that it was lame not to include the fuse, especially since I had the hitch, trailer plugs and the factory brake controller but it was hardly a big deal to find the proper part.

They have a habit of changing stuff that worked fine for many, many years.

I live 10 miles from the nearest auto parts store that would stock something like that. I live in MA remember. That's up to 1.5 hours out of my day - I don't get paid to be on the road fixing my own shit that a damn manufacturer decides to change every 5 years. I have the fuses here - why waste half the day plus $3?

You obviously have a money tree in your back yard. I don't!

Some people just like to do it by the book..... It takes you 45 minutes to drive 10 miles?

Guess you've never been to MA.

All it takes is one **** in a Prius that sees a "big evil truck" flying up on him. They slow down to 15 under the already ridiculously low speed limit, where there's nowhere to legal or safe pass, and make the trip take forever. Then, if someone crashes or gets yanked by the cops, they all have to slow down and gawk - some even come to a complete stop, and won't move until the cop starts screaming at them to MOVE.

I live in a state full of MORONS.

Dude get real. The only place in Massachusetts that 10 miles would take an hour and a half would be Boston on a bad day. And those fuses have been around since the 90s. Stop looking for things to complain about.

Besides, the Advanced Auto I had to drive to to buy that fuse was 12 miles away so I win anyway. lol

Umm ... normally when you drive 10 miles, it takes 10 miles to get BACK HOME again. So that's 20 in case you're wondering, and yes ... with endless water main and sewer repairs to our crap infrastructure, coupled with morons on the road, it literally takes an hour on a good day, ROUND TRIP. Remember that getting back home thing ...

I don't live at the parts store, nor do I shop at Advance Auto - the place sucks - parts AND customer service.

Didn't mean to be so harsh in my last post Mike - was having a bad day and took it out on you. Sorry.

Finally got the light bar installed on my parents rzr yesterday evening

At first I didn't like the light output on it while it was setting in the garage. Seemed like too much spot light. Took it out on the road and then I could really see the difference, only cost $65 total between the harness and the light bar so if it burns out in a year my feelings aren't all that hurt. Every mod we do to that thing it makes me want to purchase one and do my own mods lol. must... resist...

I grabbed some sandbags and headed into the mountains yesterday. Holy cow do the ATW's grab! Even on snowpack you have to nail the brakes pretty good to get a reaction from the ABS. Haven't needed 4x4 yet.

This morning did an other 2004 TopKick cluster for a guy from Calais Maine. Paid me with Canadian money too. Then I did a 2003 Avalanche cluster refurbish and a 2005 Uplander FOB ( 15114374 ). I'm down to 15 motors, my order better come in soon.
