What did you do with your truck/shop today

Got tires rebalanced today after work. Said he put the weight in "pretty much" the same spots. As of driving home it definitely feels smoother, maybe that's just in my mind. Didn't have to pay for the balance as it was covered under the tire warranty I purchased. Over 30k miles on the original 2 tires (other 2 replaced when I got in my accident) and have nothing but good things to say about these KO2's, the originals are about half worn, not bad for the towing I do

Pained me to do it but I drilled into my center console today, mounted a phone holder since I drive a lot, give it a "forever home" for when I use GPS and for it to charge. Was hard to do the first screw but once I was committed I figured there was no turning back now lol. Think it turned out halfway decent for a 10 minute job. It came with a crow foot to stick under the seat hold down nut but daggone GM has studs up there instead now. Oh well, I think I'll like it, only cost me $17 with free prime shipping

As you can tell I put the mount as low as possible to that trim piece in order to cover the screws up in order to try and keep it somewhat hidden

Well call gm customer service today. That was a waste of my time. Truck is 3 months outside the power train warranty. Serviced per gm recommendations all they offer me is a $100 voucher for diagnostics. What a joke. Could barely even understand what she was saying. That's my rant for today.

Sounds about right. My parents 07 Monte Carlo SS was a few months out of warranty when it developed a well known axle knock/noise, and they offered them nothing. I guess it depends on the day because sometimes they offer people help, and offer others nothing.

The customer service hotlines are terrible. I had to call Nissan on my father's behalf a couple months ago and am pretty certain I spoke to people on three different continents.

You say it pained you, it pains me to see it too. I would have sacrificed a cup holder long before I would've drilled that beautyful interior. Man that hurts me and it's not even my truck!

I have too many people that ride with me to take a cup holder, that's valuable space right there lol. Sometimes I have two drinks myself! I can always buy a replacement side panel in the future

But doesn't the 14 also have cup holders in the doors, my 11 does and I have 3 in the middle. I mean if it was a work truck I could see it but leather and wood grain interior ''OUCH'' But your right you can always get a new panel if it bugs you later on. I'm just a purist I guess. Sorry to annoy you like that !!! But I thought I'd give my opinion whether you asked for it or not.....

Two cup holders in each front door, and 2 in the middle. Both my door panel cup holders have stuff in them though lol. And trust me, that's plastic "wood grain" wish it was real haha

I know it's plastic, my Buick is the same but still it's the high end interior and it well ''It just hurts'' What can I say. I saw a 16 Silverado today with a light bar bolted through the hood, that hurt even worse.

That cell phone mount is actually pretty solid as it sets, really only vibrates or shakes when you hit a bad rail road track, pot hole, or you bump it with your hand. Very satisfied for the price I paid, thinking about getting one for the work van I drive often
