Question
bhaubold
I have an 09 Silverado Ext. Cab 1500. It has 28000 miles and is about one month over waranty. Was changing the oil today and notice fluid leaking out of the drivers side bellows from the steering rack. The fliud leak is not bad enough to drip on the ground yet, but, I'm sure it won't get better on it's own.
First question is: Do you think the dealer will do anything for me being I'm out of waranty by one month?
Second question: I've notice reseal repair kits for the rack and pinion steering. Is this something a home machanic can do? I've never worked on a rack and pinion before.
Thanks for your help. Any comments are welcome.
Bob
