LED 921 Reverse & Cargo Bulbs

Recommended Posts

For those not aware, GM dropped the 3157 sized bulbs in favor of 921's for reverse lights on the 2014's.
So my question: which vendors really have the best/brightest LEDs out there???
My DDM's were dimmer than the stick bulbs. I've heard great things about V-LED's Triton LEDs but they don't make a 921.

I use the Samsung 2323 T10 10 watt 921 LED backup lights......VERY BRIGHT! Also have them in my Cargo Lamps.....VERY BRIGHT! I'm very pleased with them. Brighter than stock and cause no issues.

MY truck is a 2012. But the bulb i installed called for the 921 in the cargo.

Here is what they look like on at night with no other lights outside.

Heres the amount of light they cast on the house. This will be diffrent than the revese housing likely since the refelctor output will be different.

And heres just showing off my led bar under tailgate and my led bulbs in reverse lights.

I like it a lot. I have the F1. My dad has the G2, he hates it. The F1 is lighter, stronger, doesn't heat up nearly as bad. I would really like one of the aluminum roll covers, but it would not work with my setup in the bed so this is the next best bet. It is a secure cover, as long as you lock the tailgate.

Got the Samsung 2323's off eBay and, yet again, am disappointed with my LED purchase. They're a little brighter than the ones I got from DDM but still not any better than stock bulbs. The taillight housing doesn't cast the LED's light nearly as efficient as the stock bulb, so I need LED's that are significantly brighter!

In pic attached, I backed up to a wall to show output. Left side is stock & right side is Samsung LED's.
