I am ordering this one. http://www.safetowingstore.com/TruControl-Brake-Controller-p/88008.htm

The Hensley Arrow people are good folks. This is to be a superior controller. I am going to try to mount it in the factory location. Will require some mod to the dash plate.

Has anyone used this yet, and what's your feedback if so. I need to figure something out fast because I never imagined GM would screw up something so easy as installing an aftermarket brake controller. I read through the thread, have spoken with my dealership, and am still not 100% sure what the proper route is at this point.

The link to tekonsha website you provided has installation instructions to the harness, just locate the big black box to the left of the brake pedal, remove the cover from it and plug in the harness.

Thank you. I'm more concerned with whether its working properly for anyone or not. I've yet to purchase anything. Mt dealership is getting the part that was spoken about earlier that GM is using but I'm looking for the best option.

Greetings. I have successfully installed The GM harness along with a Tekonsha "P3" controller. While I have NOT towed my travel trailer yet (it's surrounded by snow banks) but I have connected to the trailer and all the electric brakes on my Coachman Catalina respond with no issues.

The GM harness comes with good instructions however I recommend your GM dealer install the whole works if you have limited experience with late model North American vehicle wiring and electrical systems.

There is about three other threads on this site and section pertaining to this same situation. Once found, there you will get more detailed information regarding the GM harness.

Regards.
