I’m looking forward to the Suburban/Tahoe launch as well. Some of the spy photos have me worried as the headlights look almost identical to the latest Ford Explorer. I hope that is not the case! I really wish the full-size SUVs just shared the same body design as their pickup truck siblings like the good old days. I really don’t understand why the full-size SUV’s need their own body style. Seems like a total waste of money to create different body stamps, molds, etc.

If that's what you like, here's a mockup with the same front end. 2014-chevrolet-tahoe-3.jpg

That is what it SHOULD look like but it won’t.

Look past the masking where you can see the headlight assembly feathers back at the top just like a Ford Explorer. Not sure if this one is a Chevy or GMC (it’s definitely not an Escalade) but either way, me not very happy with what I see so far but we’ll see what the real pictures look like come the 12th before we get too excited. I've purchased 3 Tahoe Z71's brand new over the last 10 years and have no interest in buying another if it looks like a Ford of all things.

I hope the new ‘15 keeps true to its heritage. Yeah, if you find a GMT900 Tahoe with a 6.2L it will be one of the few as none were made, not from GM anyway. 5.3L is it. I would have taken a 6.2L if it was available.

To be honest with you, I feel the GMT800 Tahoe Z71s we had over the years had much nicer interiors than the ’13 GMT900 we have now. The ’02 and ’04 GMT800’s Hoe Z71’s had arm rests built into the seats, memory seating operated by the key fob, and a better center console. They were just flat out more comfortable! Plus the GMT900 Hoes dash looks like it came right out of a 2005-2013 Impala rental car. Ugly!

The GMT900 Hoe Z71 definitly looks much sexier on the outside over the GMT800 but the interior is very disappointing. The ride quality went downhill too on the GMT900s. This ’13 is way too spongy for my liking with a very annoying/busy drivetrain between the underpowered 5.3L (here at 5,000 ft elevation) with AFM mated to the 6L80. As I mentioned in another thread we actually just ordered a ’14 Impala 2LTZ last Friday and will be trading our ’13 Hoe off once the Impala arrives in late October/November. Wanna buy a ’13 Hoe Z71 with only 8,200 miles? We just aren’t as thrilled with this one as the last GMT800’s and we have a new baby where the wife is having a hard time lifting the car seat in it anyway. I’m sure in a few years we’ll look at Tahoes again as the baby gets older.

This '13 Z71 needs a home. The front windows have been tinted since this picture as well as ClearBra added.

Guy on here has one, I think about 600 were made with the 6.2.

In 2009 gm did make a 6.2 Tahoe. Very low numbers and most went to gm execs. I have only seen one personally and there is one member here like stated above that has one
