Max trailering package

On 10/22/13 my dealer told me the max trail pkg for the 5.3 is on

national constraint whatever that means in GM land. The system

accepted my order for a 2014 silverado 1500 with the pkg and then

a directive was sent to the dealer with the above statement.

I ordered my 5.3 max tow on SEP 27th the line was supposed to start 14 OCT. My truck showed up OCT 24th or 25th can not remember now. National contraint means they are either packed with orders, which I highly doubt. more than likely its a supply issue of a part or they caught or flaw in something

my dealer attached the national constraint declaration to an email

and sent it to me. It shows there is -0- max trailer pkgs available

at this time.

 

My next question is: are there max trailer pkgs for other 1500

models such as the LTZ or the Highlander ?

can't take delivery of my ltz because of the constraint

My ordered SLT with 6.2 max tow is scheduled for production the week of 12/16/13. I actually got tired of constraints and bought a SLT 6.2 with 3.42 rear end. Love it !!

Dlockwood when was your ordered placed? And did you have a different model on order? I have a 6.2 max trailer 4x4 crew on order since 11/04/13 no target production week yet.

I ordered on Sept. 21st. Last week was the first event code change since 1100.
