4l60e transmissions 95 & 98

Hello I have a question about the 95 & 98 4l60e Transissions, here goes first off my 95 automatic wont come out of 2nd gear and when in drive it wont pull but all other gears will if in overdrive it will pull but when placed in drive nothing reverse also works fine. Second question will a pump out of the 95 work in the 98. Any help appreciated.

no its not slipping just wont shift out of 2nd

3-4 clutch has piled up

what do you mean by 3-4 clutch piled up, bad news?

the 3-4 clutch MAY have worn out leaving you 1st and 2nd gear and revs up to neutral where 3rd gear should be ,,,

 

yes bad news ,happenes all the time ,they are known for that and other hard part problems

Put 3 caps full of brake fluid in your transmission and drive it until warm and see if that helps, if not try adding another cap. Don't get crazy with it, it swells the bands a little

and usually gets rid of issues.
