Driver's side High Beam not working.. 2004 Savana

griffintlc

Question

After replacing the sealed beam headlights because the driver's side high beam quit working, I found the high beam still doesn't work on the driver's side. There are separate fuses for each side and each beam (hi and low). They look good. The wiring to the headlight looks good. Have yet to check to see if power is at the plug, but I feel there is none at the high beam terminal in the plug.

The vehicle is 2004 Savana 3500

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

govtech4 That schematic got me to the problem. I went looking too deep for the problem, instead of working backwards from the bulb plug itself. The problem was a broken wire in the plug itself. Looked physically good, but no connection in that termimal.

This should help me trace the system. So cold out right now, I can't feel my fingers when checking the wires. Truck's too big for garage. Hard to imagine what could be wrong, aside from a blown fuse. Checked them yesterday, and they look ok. Have yet to check their continuity.
