15% off AMP Power Steps Free Shipping!

Recommended Posts

After reading about how a couple guys got a great deal on their Amps, I followed all the links on Amp's online dealers to see who had the best deal. Everywhere I looked, they are all $1149 with free shipping. One site, Quality Bumper, in AZ, has a New Year, 15% off all online purchases code going on with free shipping specifically on AMP power steps. And, if you're not an AZ resident, no tax. Not sure if the code was supposed to work for the AMPs, as most sites they are excluded, but it applied and I bought some. My confirmation receipt showed the discount is on there. I'm waiting on it to post to my card just to verify. But if anyone's on the fence, other than the dealer cost mess up a couple people got, this seems to be the best deal for now. I'm not sure how long the coupon code will work. Anyway, here's the links and details.

Part number: 75154-01a (Sierra/Silverado)(Double and Crew Cab)

Coupon code: online15

Total out the door price: $977.46

Hopefully this helps someone out.

I'll update when it posts for confirmation

The charge finally posted, and for the discounted amount. Quality Bumper said they got quite a few orders here recently and they are back-ordered. The back-order means they are shipping directly from AMP, which is apparently owned by Lund now. (new to me) Basically, it just adds a couple days to the order. I checked the 15% code again just now and it still works also.

Has it been discussed or has anyone reviewed the Bestop Powerboards system?

At first glance they look very similar.

Just making sure Amps are the way to go, as I don't have any experience with either product, but am now researching.

Thanks

I can't comment on the bestop boards. Never heard of them. When I did my search and bought my Amps I could not find a bad review. I absolutely love mine!

I looked at both and they are very close to each other in design. From what I have found, Bestop was a distributor of Amp or vice versa and when the contract ended, they each produced there own step. The instructions are very close to each other also.

I've not really ever heard a bad thing about AMP and the price difference is minimal so that drove my decision. Not saying there is anything bad about the Bestops, but AMP's track record swayed me when spending around $1k on an accessory. Mine are still on track for delivery tomorrow. The back orders took awhile to fill. I plan on trying to get a lot of pics on install, but I work all weekend so time will be limited.

Has anyone head of being able to wire an "on/off" switch into these running boards? winter months up north cause havoc with these types of steps.

This has been one of the snowiest, coldest winter here in Michigan with plenty of freezing and ice. I have had no problems at all with my AMPs. In fact every time I open the door, the steps come down clean and snow/ice free. I had them on my 07 LTZ as well.....Best accessory added so far!

Considering ordering... but was really surprised to see they don't come standard with LED lights. :wtf:

Amp wants another $80 for four LED puddle lights that cost maybe $20 on Amazon/eBay.

That's odd. Mine came standard.
