Magnaflow Muffler installed audio/video clip

Well I finally found time to wash the truck and post a clip of the new Manaflow muffler. Instead of the expensive catback exhaust I ordered Magnaflow Muffler 12589 which is a 22 inch oval muffler with 3 inch in and out with offset. I was looking for an exhaust note that had a nice rumble but didn't sound obnoxious. I sometimes have customers in my vehicle and didn't want a loud exhaust and definitely no drone and this muffler provides just that. The audio clip attached doesn't do it justice. I was considering the 18 inch magnaflow but settled on the 22 inch. I originally left the resonator but went back after about 100 miles and had it removed as well. The truck sounds great to me now. This is the same muffler that is sold with the Magnaflow catback system. I think Magnaflow has a better clip of the catback system doing a fly by. If my wife had been available I would have done the same but wanted to get a clip posted for those on the fence regarding a muffler or exhaust. I have about 220 dollars in the muffler and install. Muffler was around 129 shipped through Amazon. Install probably could have been done cheaper but I couldn't find a better price. Anyway hope this helps.

do you have a part number for that muffler?
is it loud enough or do you think it needs to be a little louder? I dont want to kill the passengers and I dont want drone, but I also want to know it has something...

do you have the 5.3 or 6.2

I am finding the 14590 for a 6.2 3" in 3" out dual.

It is part #12589

 

Its the same that Magnaflow offers for their K2 Catback system. It strikes the right note...not to loud not too quite but just right and no drone. I have a 5.3 so I'm sure it would have even more grunt in a 6.2.

ah, pretty much the same muffler except for yours is a single exit. I plan to do duals.
I had a cat back in my suburban and it was obnoxious. not bad for normal driving, but when I hauled my trailer it held about 3000 and droned your head off. it was bad. I loved it otherwise.. this time around I dont want to be that obnoxious but want to know when I am on it that I am on it... but liveable through towing and normal driving ect..

Yeah not sure which part is used on the dual system but 12589 is what they use on the single exit catback package. I think you will be pleased with the 22 inch muffler.
