So let me begin by saying all racing is done on a track that used to be an airport. My city turned it in to a full out track for long speed runs and twisties. My buddy has the cts with the 3.6 v6. He thinks it's so fast he said it will blow my truck away. Ive got a crew cab ltz 2wd, 6.2 with 3.73 rar. Do you think i have a chance it would be from a roll and the track is long so well probably get up to some good speed.

Looking at the specs, Both vehicles go 0-60 in 6.3, but, the Caddy runs an 14.7 1/4 mile and the Chevy a 14.9 1/4 mile. If y'all are running something like the Texas Mile, then I don't think you will beat it. You are governed to 100mph probably and that Caddy is probably at least 120mph??? All goes down to the driver in this race if 1/4, anything else, you could possibly lose but, that's why you will get us a video and such when everything settles right?

Sure thing. I saw a video on youtube of a 2014 sierra he claimed was completely stock. hitting 140mph. He said he didn't remove speed limiter. I know i had mine to 110 and i didn't feel a cut off. Any way i was expecting a little faster quarter mile from the new ones.

Yeah, I didn't know what the limiter was exactly. C&D said it was 100mph, not sure if that is from factory or just a guess since GM limited older models 100mph and below for trucks. But knowing that, maybe the outcome will be different. Now it all depends if you want to push a toaster 140mph down the road! Also, if you do hit them triple D's in the race, tell us how it rides when aerodynamics start to lose its grip lol.

sorry i took so long. i will be making a youtube account to post vids. we raced from a dead stop i left traction on. btw im 2wd. Anyway i jumped him pretty good off the line more than expected and beat him to 110. We did a few roll races one from about 20mph and 40mph. I pulled on him both times. We got up to 70mph and hammed it and stayed side by side for a second and i started pulling again. My buddy mike has 2014 stingray and he watched he laughed so hard. Just for a little experiment we lined up and he let me take off and see how long it takes him to catch. I kept him behind me longer than you would think he was impressed with the truck. Ill let you know when i make an account. On the way home we were at a light and i started reving and he did to, some old man looked at me like i was crazy so when light turned i nailed it and everyone was staring lol like they couldn't believe it.
