Any tuners or chips avail for 99 1500 ? Or good performance or mpg mod

Just got a 99 1500 5.3 vortech

Wondering what kind of tuners or performance tuning or chips are out there if any and if not what can I do to gain power and mpg.

Anything labeled as a performance chip is a scam, vehicles haven't used removable chips since the late 80s/early 90s. The various handheld programmers will get you some gains but the best will always be a custom tune.

Or you can get a Diablo Intune which have canned tunes and different adjustable parameters. They also have the ability to data log and can be custom tuned by Diablew tunes.

What do u mean by a custom tune??

An actual tune designed for your exact vehicle by a tuner. Look up blackbear performance
