2002 GMC Sierra 1500 Drive shaft problem

Hi everyone,

today while driving on the interstate i developed a bad vibration, then my front u-joint broke at the slip yoke. while replacing both u-joints, i could not get the slip yoke to slide out of the transmission, so as a result my drive shaft will not reach the rear differential, its about 2" short. Just trying make shure nothing else was damage when the u-joint broke.

If the slip yoke don't slip at all, you've got problems

i just had the transmission rebult its got about 3,500 miles.

Probably have a damaged bushing in the trans tail shaft. Not a hard fix but you may need a new yoke.
