Question about detail spray

Does detail spray have some kind of wax in it?

 

I posted not long ago about finally claying my truck for the first time since purchasing it, and naturally I used Detail Spray as a lubricant. It started raining yesterday and I was surprised to see rain just beading off of my truck, the paint was slippery like hot butter. It almost looks like it added some clarity and shine as well, my paint has never looked so good. This stuff has definitely impressed me, but it will get expensive to use on a regular basis!

Not to my knowledge. I have used Meguiars Quick Detailer in the past and am aware that they also make a Quick Wax, which leads me to say that the Detailer doesn't contain wax.

It really depends on the brand. Most detail sprays will give you a little protection. What brand were you using?

Some do and some don't, all depends on what you are using.

 

If you're using ours, it has a very small amount of wax additive in it. It doesn't really add any additional protection, but it will enhance any products you already have on the surface. And it also makes your paint look like it's just been waxed, so that's a bonus.
