How to show your image not just the link

I see plenty of people posting pictures that show up in their post. I can't figure out how it's done. My photo posts only show the link to the picture. Can you help me please? thanks!

Are you hosting the pic on a hosting site? When you post are you clicking on the photo icon then pasting the link into the box?

I am using photobucket, do i have to copy the image code and not the url code?

Yep, that was it. I was copying the wrong link. Needed to copy the Image code.
