Do a side by side build your own with a Durango and compare it to a a LTZ or Denali. The price differences are amazing, with little difference in size or option count.

They don't seem that close in size? I'd still take a GM. Rather have a proper frame underneath the body.

There was talk of Dodge bringing back a fullsize with a modern Grand Wagoneer. Doubt it will happen.

The GC is better looking than the Yuk IMO.

It is happening. They are killing the Durango, and the next gen will be the grand wagoneer. It allows them to jack up the price for more profit with a Jeep name, and since they are killing the Caravan and will only make the town and country, dodge will only sell a few cars, and will be easy to kill off if they need to cut a brand.

Interior dimensions.... It might even be bigger. That full frame takes up a lot of space on the Tahoe. The traverse Is bigger inside.

Also, Durango can tow up to 7400#, the Tahoe 8500. Most people with an SUV won't be crossing either of those.

Two things you wouldn't immediately think of cross shopping, but when you do, it gets interesting.

'15 Tungsten Metallic (Gunmetal) Tahoe LT with bells and whistles, 55K OTD. Purchased on California Central Coast

What was the sticker price (if you mind sharing)?

The wife is interested in the Denali, but they're only taking $1500 off it.. She may have to drop down to the SLT to get more savings off the sticker.

Thanks!

20S - It was 57.5K, but I only paid 55K OTD (out the door). OTD means I did not pay TTL (tax, title, or license cost). TTL is usually around 10%. So if you add 10% of the sticker 5.7K and the difference of what I paid (2.5K), that was a savings of over 8K. I believe my cost was a bit of luck, timing, and knowing how to bargain, I have been into law for 36 years.

You should be able to walk into any dealership and get supplier (invoice) pricing even on a Denali. I'm a member of another forum and there are a bunch of Denali owners who paid just that (or lower). If they won't budge head over to another dealership.

Thanks for the reply!! But just to be clear, which I'm sure I am, but you're saying yours had an sticker price of $57k and you saved $8k off for a sale price of $49k PLUS TTL?? Everyone's TTL will always be different, thus making the OTD price difficult to figure out what the dealers are actually willing to take off the tag.

Thanks to you too, Jmithcell.. The bad thing is.. NO ONE has a Denali in this area in Diamond Tricoat and I think this dealer knows this :)

Where in the Southeast are you?

I found a couple if you're willing to take a little ride or get it shipped.

20S - that's about the gist of it. If I would have paid the TTL, the cost of my model and options would have been 63.2K. Every dealership will sell you a vehicle what you are willing to pay, I told the dealership I would pay 57.5K or no deal. That was basically the bottom line with some luck and timing thrown in.

Dude.. You're awesome.. Two of those are a couple hours away.. I'm from SE Tenn so ATL ( or west ATL) isn't too far.

Thanks for the links!!

I guess that's what had me confused.. We all pay the TTL, they just usually hide it in the deal. :)

Just an update... We were able to get Supplier pricing on a 2015 Yukon that we have special ordered.. They also said if there were any additional rebates when the Yukon arrived, we would be able to get those on top of the Supplier price.

Pretty good deal I think! They also agreed to hold their offer on our trade while the Yukon was being built!
