I am thinking about putting headers on my truck. I was wondering for those of you who have them how much louder is it inside of the truck?, do you tow? and did it help towing?, is it louder when towing?, how much difference did they make?

I already have a cat back exhaust and I am not sure my wife could take more sound in the truck.

Thanks Ian

Long tube headers will increase your exhaust flow and also will decrease your low end torque.

What is your states smog requirements?

Here in California, you can not move the physical location of the catalytic converter, if you do you will fail the visual.

Didn't really make my truck louder, just a deeper tone. I didn't lose any hp or torque downlow, I originaly got rid of the cats-wasn't impressed. I put the cats back on and really noticed the power difference. Also had my truck tuned-don't do exhaust/intake mods without having your truck tuned to get the max benefit of the mods
