Nissan is looking for mid size money

nissan has had the midsize money for quite a while. There are more frontiers on the road than canyon and colorados combined. mainly due to price. Even now the 13's and 14s fully loaded are selling at dealers for right at or just barely under 30k. A used colorado was above the 30k range last year when I was in the truck market and didnt' have half the options that the frontier did.

"The automaker today revealed its next-generation small pickup in Thailand, known there and in other markets as the NP300 Navara.

Although Nissan denies that the truck is an indication of a new Frontier for the U.S., previous versions of the two were nearly identical." (from link above)

Having been to Thailand - in some major cities - the single cab pickup truck is the taxi. The bed is set up with two bench seats along sides.

Isuzu when I was in Thailand had the majority of the small truck market. Followed by Toyota and Nissan.

ALL market/sell a single cab pickup truck in Thailand. And the single cab is the most popular.

try 33,000 to 35,000 or more for a fully loaded crewcab PRO-4X frontier 4.0 5 speed auto

Then your buying from the wrong dealer. I don't own one right now but have been quoted way better than 33k out the door. They can come down if they want. Trust me.

Nissan is looking for mid size money.....

...then Nissan needs to start with full size quality instead of the rustbuckets they push now.

yeah they have to do something. the trucks are so stale its not even funny anymore. Im really close to the dealer manager here and even they say something should have given along time ago. But supposedly the new head of the truck division isn't worried bout the 3 U.S. trucks and is banking on the next gen to make a huge dent in the sales of the US trucks with the new model coming out. Ive not been told what it looks like only that the pics on line are no where close to the production model. So we'll have to wait and see. I really wish GM would have stayed with the v8 options on their canyons and colorado's

I was close to going with a frontier crew cab but, I'd never consider a titan, their junk.

I'd have to agree with you on this one. Outdated overpriced, no options like other full size trucks and way to hard on gas. Great towing though but you better have a water tank in the bed full of gas to get there. Man I was sold on the frontier but its that whole same look for the last 11 years that gets me. Id like to have something different than a 2004 styled truck.

I had a 2008 Frontier and loved it. Great driving truck and plenty of power for the size. I think I got it for around 18k used with 25k miles, but that was years ago. I was surprised to see the Frontier in the 30k range when I was pricing a new truck. Took it off my list pretty quickly when I could get a full size for a few grand more with more options. Rode in the old Colorado and thought it was rough. Curious to see how this new one turns out.
