Intune question.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

I just finished a regear in the truck and went to tune it last night. i programmed the intune to the new gears i installed and change the tire size aswell. I went for a drive, and my truck is saying im going 100km the garmin is telling me i'm going 80km.

Did i miss something in the intune?? or would it be a programming issue with the tuner itself.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Tim

You've probably figured this out by now, if not:

Plug it into your OBD Port and click adjustable parameters. Go to the screen with the gear ratios and tire size. Is there an asterisk next to the gear ratio and Tire size options? if so, that means the option has been modified by you and is included in your current tune.

If no asterisk, try again. One thing you might have to do is play with the numbers until your truck speed matches the GPS speed. I know the tire size calibrator works that way, it takes a little manipulating of the numbers because tires rarely measure exactly what they claim to be. What I have read for the tires is you need to measure from the ground to the top of the tire and input that measurement, not how tall the tire is "supposed" to be. Play with it, I'm sure you'll get it right.
