Will 2011 2500 6.0 fit in 2008 Sierra 2500

Question

About a month ago I was racing my truck and it took a dive for the worst. When I took it to the dealer, and they charged me $1,000 for diagnostics after 3 days they informed me that I needed a new engine, because my cylinder wall was severely scratched, it happened because the piston broke. I really don't wanna pay $10k for a dealer installed new motor, so i found a motor, practically brand new that I can buy and drop in, just want to know if it will fit and work properly in my 2008 Sierra 2500hd 6.0..

IMO- i would find a 08 LQ4 and bore, stroke to 408 ci. head work, proper cam, tuning should give you around 500 HP at the crank..

always remember..you have to pay, too play

LQ4 ended in 07. In 07 they started with the LY6. Basically an iron 4th gen 6.0 with L92 heads
