How big of a lift do i need for my tires.

Recommended Posts

I have a 2008 Sierra Duromax and I have installed a leveling kit into it that will allow me to have 33" tires. I am going to put new rims and tires on. the rims are 20x10 w/-24 offset and the tires will either be 305/55R20 or 295/55/R20 they give me a tire diameter of 33.39" or 32.91". Where my worry comes in is because of the width of the tire and the offset, will i need to go bigger than just the leveling kit to make my tires fit. If anyone has any knowledge on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion I would change the torsion keys, which will raise the front up to 3 inches, depending on which you get (mine are readylift) and they are only a couple hundred bucks. You might fit those tires with just a levelling kit but It would look better with more clearance. You need at least 3 inches higher then stock to clear 33,s. And you don't have to worry about the tires rubbing when you turn because a -24 offset is pretty wide
