HOOK EM HORNS baby! Total culture change and program rebuilding year, so I'm a bit surprised to see us ranked in the top 25.

I'm hoping for the best and expect Coach Strong to have us playoff bound within 3 years. But the quarterback health issues, lack of depth at RB, inexperienced offensive line and a whole new system has my expectations for this year tempered. Especially with our strength of schedule.

WOW....BlowU is ranked 3rd? I expect them to win the BigXII but they are getting a bit too much respect from that Bama bowl win last year.

So far, I've been a fan of Coach Strong's mentality of you've got to earn it and want it. All the cuts this past week have been interesting. Some, very obviously warranted. Will be interesting to see how they fare this season.

Beating Bama now a days carries a lot of weight.

So far, I've been a fan of Coach Strong's mentality of you've got to earn it and want it. All the cuts this past week have been interesting. Some, very obviously warranted. Will be interesting to see how they fare this season.

Beating Bama now a days carries a lot of weight.

I'm a fan what Strong is doing as well. Whether that pays off for recruiting remains to be seen. I am confident that whatever team he fields will be solid student, athletes, want to be play football and shed the soft reputation we've had the last few years.

Tough days for Texas fans because the Ags have been whooping us in recruiting, hell Baylor is competing too to a lesser extent.

Even with all the roster cuts and culture change this a big year for us to turn the tide in recruiting. Need to at least show a very salty attiude and improvements on both sides of the ball. Strong has his work cut out for him. I can't wait for the season to start. Love me some college football.

Will be a good feeler for the season, that's for sure.

Baylor is definitely moving up the tier in Texas ranks. Goes to show you what one great player can do for a program (RGIII), the carryover in recruiting will probably subside in the next few years. Same thing with A&M with Manziel. Everyone wants to go to A&M now. UT has had and will still have plenty of in state talent to pick from. It's still a top destination school.... Man that hurt to type...

I watched the game. It was almost as Alabama didnt try. No natty tun so they gave up.

I am curious to see how the new playoff works out.

But they did show a glimpse of Derrick Henry (sp) and that dude looks like he's going to be a beast.

I just foresee the playoff expanding. It's inevitable. Too much money to be made at the expense of the sport. But, The amount of pressure to pick the best four is not a decision I would want to make. Someone WILL get snubbed.
