Hi all,

I found this site researching my "new to me" used truck. This site convinced me to buy a 6.2L V8 instead of a 5.3L V8.

I will pick up my "new to me" 2011 Silverado in four days. Here is a picture of it from the dealership:

I am sure I will have some "newbie" questions to ask.

How many miles does the truck have?

Around 16,5xx when I test drove it. Made the deal over the phone 4 days later, so there may have been more test drives before they marked it sold and no more test drives.

I could not believe how hard it was to find a 6.2L in an extended cab. I would have bought a GMC too.

Not my first color choice and I had to buy an LTZ (more bells & whistles than I wanted). I would have skipped 20" wheels too. But that's the breaks buying used. I like your color, or either blue they offered in 2011.

About the only options it does not have that I wanted were backup camera, brake controller and Z71 wheels.

I will probably switch to 17" or 18" wheels. I do not like the big wheel, short tire side wall look.

Welcome from the Jackson area! I have the 5.3 but my 2011 has been a great truck.

Who knows we may pass each other on I-94 I have a daughter at MSU & EMU.

The AFM & oil burning posts scared me off a 5.3. Since I was buying used, I was afraid of getting a problem truck someone was dumping. I am sucker for a low price

The same dealer I am buying my truck from had a 2013 with a 5.3 for $2100 more. It only had 8K miles, and was a Z71, but same color inside and out. It did not have a bed liner or the assist steps (which the wife really liked).

So it would only gain me the Z71 wheels, which I like better than the 20" wheels.
