Question
hillbillywizard
1998 GMC Sierra 4.3 2 wheel drive. 184k
New Coil, new ign module (gm parts), new fuel pump, recent tune up. No CEL. Does not matter if the ac is on or off. Sputters, not a backfire, on the expressway it bucks, as if i was shutting off the ignition on and off, does not stall. Get to where I am going, come back 15 minutes later, restart, runs great for the rest of the day, 120 miles. It has done this for 4 days now. Only thing I can think can do this is a bad connection somewhere, But the ecm? Minor drive-ability issue with the a/c on, Idles at 1300 rpm, and wants to stall when taken out of drive. Iac is new, not a gm part. A/c off runs great. Almost as though the iac driver does not know the "steps" up or down with the AC on. Ideas?
