It could also be the ring gear. Has the truck always had a normal sounding cadence when trying to start before? By that I mean did it have any odd sounds while cranking over? Can you drop the inspection cover to see the starter and ring gear area? You can also try to get a socket on the crank pulley on front of engine and try to rotate the engine about half a turn(make sure key is not in ignition first), then try to start it.

Found out damn flywheel tooth is broke has new starter the guy that sold it must knew of it cause he told me to check if tooth is broke cause I asked him about starter. So I just moved flywheel and fine now but not looking forward to fixing it hopefully someone will help me cause never pulled out tranny before.

Great engine, HORRIBLE fueling and engine control system.

I just gave up on that exact same engine in a Tahoe. I swear it's a GM-engineered money sucking device - that it's VERY good at unfortunately. :nonod: Hopefully you have better luck with it than people around here have ...

From your description it sounds like you got lucky - might just be the starter bendix isn't working - the starter is spinning but the teeth aren't engaging the flywheel. Relatively easy fix if your mechanically inclined. If not, just throw a new starter in there.

Is there a easy way to turn flywheel without taking starter off? So it wont be pain in the ass to do next time.

Doesn't the inspection cover come off with the starter in place? Pretty sure they used to. If not, then take the starter and cover off, and only put starter back in. If you get lucky you may be able to get to one of the converter bolts to help turn the engine a bit.

It used to be real easy before they came out with the clutch fan. If by chance you have a standard fan, you can usually push on the belt, and turn the fan. I have had some luck using a socket and breaker bar on the bolt that holds the pulley on power steering pump or alternator while keeping tension on belt.

As said by Duelin, get a socket that fits the crank pulley main bolt, and use a breaker bar with that socket. Or, you could try using a pry bar across two of the bolts holding the fan onto the water pump pulley. No idea what room you have in the area of that pulley though. You already know how far you have to turn it, chances are it will not stop at that exact spot anytime soon.

Was nice of the seller to not bothering to say anything before you bought the truck. Him suggesting to check ring gear is not something the average person would suggest first.
